"Yeah, yeah. [Laughs.] I’ve been hired into the family business – of simulating prostitution and death." — Anne Hathaway on playing the same role her mother. (Her mother was on the first US tour of Les Mis)

"It made me nervous to tell her that I was auditioning for it, just because I knew how much it would mean to her and I was worried that if I didn’t get it, she would be disappointed, and if I did get it, it would be weird. And she was so cool about it…. We talked about the character…. And when I got the part, no one was happier for me… It was amazing to have that conversation not with an acting teacher, not with a director, but with your mother." — Anne Hathaway talking about her mother (via singing-a-song-of-angry-men)

I track quite a few tags. Most of them are Les Mis related. Like current broadway productions, the actors in the upcoming film, characters etc.

Now, whenever I go on the “Aaron Tveit” tag (he’s playing Enjolras)

I see these post titles Day 1; Day 2; Day 3; etc etc

and the post just says “I am not yet Aaron Tveit.”

That’s it. This persons blog is just one post a day, simple, clean, nothing else posted.

And it amuses me greatly, just taken me a while to muster the energy to share it with you.

i grew up with the csr, and when i listened to it, i always pictured fantine as a woman in her late forties. when i listened to other recordings, i was shocked by how young they cast other fantines. now, after reading the book, i think debbie byrne was miscast in the role.

Does anyone know if any of the stage productions filmed and released on DVD?

Not including the 10th and 25th Anniversary Concerts
